Russell Books’ 60th Anniversary
We are honoured to be celebrating Russell Books’ 60th birthday this August! Thank you, Victoria! We’ve come a long way from the original Russell Books, founded by Reg Russell in 1961. Now in our third generation as a family-owned book store, we have grown and evolved in so many ways thanks to our thriving community of book-loving customers in Victoria and worldwide. We have lots of fun events planned, so come down to the store on August 1st and help us celebrate!
60 Gift Cards for 60 Years!
This August 1st, we are celebrating our 60 years in business by giving away $10 gift cards to the first 60 customers who enter our store.

Bookmark Design Contest
Make your mark on Russell Books! We’re holding a bookmark design contest for children ages 13 and under. The winning entry will be printed as limited edition Russell Books bookmarks, and receive a $50 Russell Books gift card. Get your entries in by August 15th to be considered for the prize!
It feels especially meaningful to be celebrating our 60th anniversary after such a challenging year. Living through a pandemic has reminded us of the importance of books in getting through tough times, and made us even more grateful for the support of our community.
