The Tour of Mont Blanc and of Monte Rosa

Being a personal narrative, abridged from the author's 'Travels in the Alps of Savoy'. 12mo. Green textured cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spine and front. The front bears an illustration of a mountain goat with mountains behind (the same image is blindstamped on rear board); On the spine is a tree image with camping gear tied to it. Blind stamped linear borders to boards. Save for a chip to top of spine the boards are generally bright and clear (a hint of darkening to spine). Subtle dampstain to the top outer corner of some of the pages (this only affects the margins); the rest of the textblock is generally clean. Binding is lightly cracked in some places. Publisher's advertisements at rear. The volume contains two fold-out maps; both are clean and sharp with only some small tears to the margins of the second. Detailed and interesting B/W engraved illustrations throughout.
