When a tattered old tarot card falls out of Charlotte Torres's library book, she doesn't think much of it. It doesn't even bother her that there's a message written on the back: "Pass this card along or you'll be sorry!" But when horrible things start happening--things that could be bad luck but seem to target Charlotte--she begins to believe in the power of the card and its message. She wants to get rid of it, but she doesn't want to pass it along and doom someone else to its curse. Will she be able to figure out a way to destroy the card for good? Or is the card powerful enough to destroy her life first?
