First Edition, First Printing of the Peacock Edition with date 1894 on title page (inside the illustration of the peacock's tail). 12mo. Dark green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and intricate peacock illustration to spine and front board. Dark green endpapers. Residue from bookplate to front pastedown. Spine is cocked with some cracking at signatures. Foxing to pages at front and rear. All outer edges are gilt. Illustrations by Hugh Thomson throughout including frontispiece.
