Don’t Be Afraid

Most children have some fears, whether real or imagined. This book opens a discussion between the child and either parents or teachers related to fears. There are things in the world today that warrant a healthy fear or respect for, but many fears are unfounded. The fears in this book range from being afraid of snakes and bugs, deep water, goblins, making friends, monsters under the bed, etc. When children can share their fears with an adult, usually the fears are alleviated. Each situation is colorfully illustrated by Micah Stiver, a twelve-year- old budding artist. Children will enjoy Micah's creative sketches.
