This is a story about bereavement, love, loss, and hope, set on the backdrop of Yemen's civil war. On August 9, 2018, a Saudi Arabian jet dropped an American-made bomb onto a Yemeni school bus killing forty boys under the age of ten. While a historical event, in this fictionalized account the protagonist, American physician associate, Bryan Rogers, who came to Yemen on a medical peace mission after losing his own father in the 9/11 attack 16 years earlier, rushes to help with the casualties only to discover that one of the dead was the only son of his dear friend. Soon after, in retaliation of the American-made bomb, anti-American sentiment sweeps their valley. Meanwhile, due to Bryan's friend's inconsolable grief, he is recruited by the terrorists for an act of retribution against America. Bryan is the only one who can stop him. Bryan chases his friend around the world in his sailboat.
