ABOUT "OF FIERY PLACES AND SACRED SPACES" Deeply inspired by the romantic poetry of Byron, Tennyson, and Desnos, Amy has been crafting images into words most of her life. Of Fiery Places and Sacred Spaces comprises a selection of poems and observations on life, as well as love longed for, lost, and then re-encountered. These poems, depicting moments of time, are based on "topographical circumstances and possibilities." Together, these represent the poetics of the astonishing places without, as well as the wondrous places within. Through these words, the poet invites the reader to mentally travel to "physical spaces of land" and also to "navigate places surrounding the intricate and delicate cartography of the human, body, mind, and spirit."
